Veniamin Kondratyev: By the end of 2025, we expect to attract at least 1.2 trillion roubles in investment to the economy of the Krasnodar Region

The Governor of the Krasnodar Region convened a meeting to discuss the region's growing investment attractiveness.

«Despite challenging conditions, we are managing to maintain the region's investment appeal. By the end of 2025, we expect to attract at least 1.2 trillion roubles in investment to the economy of the Krasnodar Region. At present, 580 major projects with a total value of 4.4 trillion roubles are underway. Once completed, these projects are expected to generate 118,000 new jobs. We must continue our work to secure new investment, while constantly enhancing operation of entities that provide support to small and medium-sized businesses,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

The region’s Investment Promotion Agency supports almost a quarter of all investment projects in the Krasnodar Region – 230 projects worth 985 billion roubles. Business Development, Industrial Development, and Microfinance Funds of the Krasnodar Region also provide support measures for investors. The participants of the meeting noted the high demand for these support measures.

Deputy Governor of the Krasnodar Region Alexander Ruppel announced changes to the structure of the regional investment portfolio.

«Previously, the fuel and energy sector, along with construction, dominated with a combined share of approximately 60%. For the first time in the region's history, support measures have brought manufacturing to the forefront. Health resort complex is the runner-up. Every project supported by the Investment Promotion Agency is thoroughly supervised. To this end, all business processes have been digitised, which makes it possible to track the project’s current status and manage risks,» said Alexander Ruppel.
