«Today is a significant day not only for our region, but for Russia as a whole. During India’s first INNOPROM event, an agreement was signed to build a pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in the Krasnodar Region. It took a long time to reach this agreement, as our Indian colleagues were considering sites in several regions. Ultimately, they selected the Krasnodar Region for the construction of the facility. Yesterday, we visited the company’s largest plant in the state of Gujarat. The facility exemplifies cutting-edge technologies and unique corporate culture. That is why I am confident that this agreement is much more than just an investment deal, it will also help bring our two countries closer together,» said Alexander Ruppel at the signing ceremony.

The Deputy Governor also said that the Krasnodar Region is ready to provide comprehensive support for the project’s implementation and has extensive experience in managing large-scale investment projects, including those involving foreign capital. The region currently offers 225 support measures. More than 760 projects involving Russian and foreign investors, with a total value of 5.8 trillion roubles, are being implemented there. The Krasnodar Region ranks among the top five regions in the National Investment Rating compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. This reflects the region’s strong business and investment environment.

«This is a very exciting moment for Cadila Pharmaceuticals. While preparing the project’s feasibility study, we felt a strong sense of trust from our partners when we discussed cooperation with the Krasnodar Region. It is one of the most vibrant and dynamically developing regions in Russia that I have ever seen. With the support of a scalable, innovative company from the Indian state of Gujarat, we aim to create a sustainable healthcare system. On behalf of our chairman, Mr Rajiv Modi, I would like to confirm our commitment to long-term collaboration on this project,» said Samar Ghosh.

The project is expected to attract 10 billion roubles in investment. Once operational, the facility will create more than 150 jobs in the region.

The INNOPROM. India international exhibition is taking place at the Bharat Mandapam exhibition hall in New Delhi and will run until 11 September.
